Yes the article was written in 2020 as well, however, centralized turing complete code execution of monetary settlement is a thing that keeps being recreated over and over again. Old news is always new to the latest sucker.
Plus, I saw it was never posted to SN.

It's good you shared it. It was mostly to add context as Fiatjaf's opinion on LN has evolved over the years, I believe.

He's certainly critical of it (which he is of everything tbf) and became increasingly so over time, but I'm not sure he hates it.

Changed title from "centralized Ethereum" because it's redundant. Ethereum is already centralized.
