Striking images from the Sahara Desert show large lakes etched into rolling sand dunes after one of the most arid, barren places in the world was hit with its first floods in decades.

Might be a good sign that the planet is healing, more CO2 in the atmosphere might even turn Sahara into jungle again with time! ;-)
Its food for plants after all, and its likely that the Sahara came into being because the levels have been dangerously low, as they are now...

Why don't you try thousands of years! The last really known flooding occurred around the Sphynx, I think.
