In a major U-turn in the Global War on Cash, the government and central bank of Norway, one of Europe’s most cashless economies, are seeking to slow or even reverse the mass abandonment of cash. Only 3% of Norwegians used cash in their latest purchase in a physical shop, according to a recent central bank survey.
Perhaps cash does have a place in the world. It looks like fiat currency, not metals. How could it be that the purely digital methods don’t resonate with people?
“Cash costs me a lot of money to handle. I run a clean business. Only those who run the black market are interested in cash." This should have never happened in the first place. Money is money.
No, there are different classes of money. There is real money, and there is fake money. Fiat money is fake money, based upon debt.
I have always heard cash is king.
Only if it makes a sound when you drop it.
That all been taken out of circulation by the government.
Not at all, Gresham’s Law was applied and all of the good money was driven out by the bad.
All the old timers picking through the change in their youth.
Yeah, the old timers didn’t have to “pick through their change in their youth” because it was all silver, copper or nickel. No newfangled wafer crap.
@DarthCoin, you dont believe in silver dollars?
that meme is not saying enough to you?
What, another somebody not understanding your “memes”? I guess I am not alone in this milieu.
I understand it. I am only teasing. I also believe in bitcoin.

Oh, you’re back!! I do like Bitcoin, it is just hard to get my hands on it. It, also, does not ring out when it hits the floor. :)
In Brazil there is a very well developed transfer and payments model called Pix. The need for money has become obsolete. But there is a catch: people are closely monitored by the IRS.
Yes, imagine that. There is also a problem when you want to purchase something THEY do not want you to buy. THEY will track you down for anything THEY do not like. And, yes, they will feel very good, morally superior and completely justified.
Cash and Bitcoin only are the way to go.
Can’t disagree with you there, as long as the cash isn’t paper made of debt.
