"As of October 1, it is now illegal in the United Kingdom to have chickens on your property that the government does not know exist. Whether you raise them as pets or for food, all chickens, pigeons and birds of prey in England, Wales and Scotland must now be registered with the authorities.
Great Britain's original claim was that all backyard chickens must now be registered with the government because otherwise they will spread avian flu and put everyone at risk. Many now see through this obvious cover story lie.
Under the previous rules, only flocks of 50 or more birds had to be registered with the government's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). Now, the government is demanding to know about even just one single bird on a person's property, even if that bird's eggs are strictly for personal use." You can read more about it here

However... The British people have a wicked sense on humour

Citizens managed to crash the DEFRA website by registering their frozen supermarket chickens, rubber chickens, chicken nuggets and much more.
Seriously🤦🤦.. The truth is that in the United Kingdom they are going too far with the authoritarian control of everything! They want to control even the air we breathe.. it's regrettable!! At least people on this occasion raised their voices and in a funny way they say what they think!! and that's good!

I agree, the UK is becoming a nightmare with all the surveillance and control. The people need to start exercising mass noncompliance. This crashing of the DEFRA site is a perfect example. Keep it up UK guys, brilliant creativity!

I actually saw the tail end of the Poll Tax Riots in 90, people were doing totally the same, registering insane numbers of trailers in their name and so on to wreck the system!
Set up a storefront: "Get your Criminal Chicken for Bitcoin now"!

This is just hilarious. Good job!

I'm so pleased by this humourous activism, as every time I visit the UK I get so disheartened by the blind compliance, general apathy and cluelessness as to what's going on before their eyes. This, and the ULEZ bladerunners, is brilliant!
