I love posting my little projects in here because, rough and unlovely though they may be, if they work, you folks seem to appreciate them!
Here's my latest - a little cooking organizer for car camping. I made it because the last time I went car camping, I didn't have a table or organizer of any sort, just bin. This made for a lot of confusion when cooking and cleaning...where's the dishwashing soap and sponge? and the utensils? how about the lighter for the stove?
I knew I needed to get organized, so once I got a little fold up table, I found an old measuring stick that would fit between the legs of the table. Then I scavenged one of those black mesh bags that a lot of consumer electronics seem to come packaged in. I used that cloth to sew a little hanging organizer, threaded through the measuring stick, with some compartments for the various items.
I should be a lot more organized at camp now!

Dig it! My favorite part is that the measuring stick can still be used as a measuring stick.

Yeah, I wandered around the garage looking for something that could somehow be attached to the folding table, and happened to see the measuring stick. Turned out it was a workable size, and flexible enough to bend around the supports.
Which was an attachment method that I hadn't thought of before. I was thinking of velcro, drilling a whole on the table and screwing it in, etc. But this was way easier and just as good.

This reminds me of that piano mans toolbox.
The Studley tool chest. Its now at the Smithsonian.
