Has anyone actually done this, or any applications involving lora/meshtastic? I really am intrigued and want to give it a try.

I have always been a little bit of a radio nut. As a kid I liked to listen to shortwave radio to hear all the propoganda from all over the world. I had my ham license until a year ago, when I let it lapse. I actually find this lora stuff even more interesting.
