The best thing about the Museum of Ice Cream is that both my kids slept soundly until 9am this morning. They must have been dog-tired.
As for me, I think it’s the kind of place that wouldn’t be on my radar if I am not a father. Maybe I’m just getting old. I love pink and own a few pink shirts, but the saccharine pink grated on my consciousness after a while. Coupled with the loud pop music and screams of children engaged in rough-and-tumble play, the sensory bombardment was a tad too much for my liking.
It was a child-friendly place, though. I think my kids could have easily stayed there for the entire afternoon if I didn’t hurry them (sometimes literally picking them up) to get going. Several rooms were a hit with them - the magnetic letters, inflatable castle, and banana tunnel. This place isn’t exactly cheap, so I’m glad that they approved of it. Already, the son is clamouring to return there on the Deepavali holiday.
Pro tip: I just booked the tickets without bothering to research, but 5 rooms offer complimentary ice cream. An eat-all-you-can deal. Thus, there was no need for me to buy the coupon that yielded a sundane comprising three flavours at Scream’s Diner. Learn from me and be kind to your wallet!
Great thing to get the kids out in the world around new things
