Had someone send me some sats through cashu (a first for me!). I don’t have a cashu wallet so what was I to do?
A friend shared this handy tool https://redeem.cashu.me/
And it offered to withdraw to an lnurl, but what lnurl do I have? realbitcoindog@stacker.news of course!
More sats coming to zap your way🫡
Thanks cashu and @sn!
I haven't. May be @nemo.

nemo hasn't been here for a long time

Can't someone who isn't here zap sats?
reply
What are you trying to do?
reply
Nothing. I'm just asking if someone can't zap without login.
reply
You can zap as @anon, if that’s what you’re asking
reply
Yes, that's what I'm telling. If someone isn't here, he can still zap.

@WeAreAllSatoshi how do you zap as @anon? How do I login to that account?
Cool! Forgot about this tool.
Did you happen to keep that change token at the top?
Typically, when a lightning invoice is paid, there’s usually a fee reserve.
Once the invoice is paid with the original Cashu token, you get change that’s added back to your wallet (if you were using one).
Since you used this tool that isn’t a wallet, it gave you your change back as another Cashu token.
Not a big deal if you didn’t copy it. It’s usually only a sat or two.

I did not keep it 😭😭
My first time interacting with cashu ever! Why is there change??
reply
I guess because it’s interfacing with the Lightning network, and fees can be variable.
So in my example above, I had a 23 sat token. After sending 20 sats to a Lightning address, 2 sats were taken for network fees and I got a 1 sat change token.
Hope that helps.
