looking to the dark night
moon rises in eastern sky
reaching always for golden light
she finds her sight behind closed eyes

warmth falls below the horizon
radiating though it appears to die
no place exists where it does not shine
always showing the way back home

even while in the deepest depths
she is never truly alone
