Yeah, you'll get a feeling for what works best only by trying. See how it goes, if you don't like it you can always go back.

Top rank would be easier for you for sure. As it doesn't require any extra maths. Also the comment with the most sats isn't always the most zapped comment. So perhaps switching to straight top rather than points might be simpler but not essential.
