BAT token sucks, lol you have to click on these pop ups and then when you finally get your tokens a month later you have to push it to a KYC exchange, then swap it for bitcoin its so dumb, wish they stripped it out and just went BTC already

slightly related, slightly not. But i made a user on nostr.chat and it comes with a LN wallet. Everything is handed out and set up for you as soon as you visit the site. You only have to change your username, unless you like the hexadecimal that is the default name. Anyway someone sent me 10 sats, dont know why, but it was so easy to withdraw as well. Its still in beta that whole website, but i think the way it integrates bitcoin and nostr is impressive.

The idea is interesting (if done correctly with the proper checks), but I have a few concerns regarding the extension:

Firefox:

* Monitor extension usage and manage themes
* Display notifications to you
* Hide and show browser tabs
* Access browser tabs
* Access your data for all websites

Chrome:

* Location: For example: region, IP address, GPS coordinates, or information about things near the user’s device
* Web history: The list of web pages a user has visited, as well as associated data such as page title and time of visit
* User activity: For example network monitoring, clicks, mouse position, scroll, or keystroke logging
* Website content: For example   text, images, sounds, videos, or hyperlinks

From a privacy and security perspective, this is a nightmare.

seems like it's pretty intrusive judging by the permissons the extension asks for.. isn't there a get-paid-for-ads feature on lntxbot for telegram?

I set up Alby with the brave browser but haven't figured out how to earn sats instead of BAT

Maybe I'll give this one a try
