I'm looking for cost-effective options to transfer money from a Euro bank account to a US-Dollar bank account. The amount is high enough to exceed the usual limits (e.g. on PayPal). Wise.com so far is the only option that came to mind. What about using USDT, any implications of converting that back to USD on the other end?
Any other recommendations?
This is the biggest problem with this fucked up world: people ALWAYS want to go back to fiat, no matter what.

You asking in the right place! The secret is to use the app Bisq.network to buy bitcoin with your euros. Building your profile reputation takes time and not immediate.
Another good option is to join your nearest community of bitcoiners and ask the organizers there for help. They will likely point you to other people that is looking to sell P2P or other right resources.
You could also walk into an OTC office and have the transaction in a very short time. The most important thing is that you plan and execute with patience. No rush, no crash!
Once at your destination, avoid converting your precious bitcoins for fiat currency again. Instead, look for a local bitcoin community to interact with and resume your bitcoin journey.
