I'm from India and the first time i came across Bitcoin was due to the fact that it was widely covered in newspapers post similar move by India in Nov of 2016.

This is ultimately a consequence of a failure to fight Hamas terrorism in the most obvious way: killing off Hamas and their supporters. Instead left-wing DEI nonsense like "diplomacy" is ruining what could be a high trust Jewish society and giving excuses for mass surveillance in the name of fighting terrorism and the "black market" (and I can tell you, killing off cash in Israel is mainly about fighting terrorism and clamping down on Arab extremists, not tax dollars).
It would be far more effective to blockade Gaza and let them all starve to death as a way to fight terrorism. Jews aren't the ones killing Jews. Arab extremists are. Why are they straight up subsidized with endless shipments of food?
BTW 200 shekels is just $53 USD. Israel doesn't even have the equivalent of $100 bills. $100 is already far too small due to inflation. The US should have $500 and $1000 bills.
