Truly a myth buster! I'm surprised. I used to think how dk they capture vitamin D in the tablets. It's more surprising because I had a deficiency since childhood my medicine included a lot of vitamin D and everyone suggested me to get it from the sun.
I was also surprised when I came to know it. It's one of those things people just agree, perhaps it's more scientific.
If this doesn't win now, I'll never post in bounties ever again.
If you work outside, your reward is vitamin D, so worth the effort 🤣
It cracks me up when people think the sun is a vitamin D dispenser.
Same, same…
It's too funny for everyone to say so. 😂

I can feel it! Believe me.
Ohh really! Are you in the states right now? Why not join us here, we can still buy 350 kilograms of wheat grain in $100. 😜
350 kg of wheat is a real struggle, but I reckon I could lift 350 kg of cotton.
I'll lift a 351kg of cotton then ;). Do you get 350kg of cotton in $100?
U.S. cotton futures traded around 74 cents per pound. $117 :)

One litter of kittens can have multiple “father” cats. One litter of kittens can have multiple “father” cats.
I've often wondered how a litter of kittens look so strikingly different from each other. Perhaps this is the reason? I never knew this!
Because female cats release multiple eggs when they are in heat, they can become pregnant with kittens from more than one “father” cat at the same time!

Solid list of facts. Nice share!
So, some of them are only half-related. Neat!

view on youtu.beActually this is what happened because "A fellow user took Hanyecz up on the offer, paying $25 to order the two pizzas and receiving 10,000 bitcoins (then worth around $41) in return."

I will try to get them to enter next week.

In Germany, prisoners who have escaped jail will not be charged any additional penalty for their escape.
WoW! I've always dug the German mindset.
I bet you are not this persistent!
Humans have an entirely unique fingerprint for their tongue! Just like fingerprints, every person’s tongue print is different. Though it’s not commonly used for identification, the texture and pattern of each person’s tongue is distinct, making it a potential biometric identifier just like fingerprints or retinal scans.

Fun fact: Facts are fungible.
The "Fun Fact Friday" competition on Stacker News is completely arbitrary. There is no such thing as a "better fact".
One could even say rigged. (as I learned recently you can have multiple accounts on SN and so zap your own stuff)

This is a wasp, looks like a German yellowjacket. Not sure where you are, but now in Europe adult wasps are essentially waiting for death to come, they are desperate and take any sugars they find and, apparently, ham too 🤣

If you don't see these bees all the time, you might think they're the same. I can tell them apart from a mile away :)

Can you confirm it's a bee?
What I struggle with is this thing in the photo called ham 🤣
So the top post in the facts bounty is not a fact because it is a wasp 🤔😅
Well, this doesn’t change the point of the fact that much, or? I mean, I don’t think it’s a funny fact anyway but then there are many others who may see it differently.
