Would it make sense to let a person "boost" their own comment reply (similar to how a person can boost their own post)? Same minimum and other treatment as boosting for a post would be reasonable.
For the past few days I've been busy with yet another side project (non-coding one) but today I'm back rocking it with React & UselessShit.co. I'm finishing off the feature which allows for creating multiple copies of a bookmark/business-card on a single page at https://uselessshit.co/card-generator
Agreed, we don't want downvoting (should we go that route) in the score sense. We'd only want it for the signal of "I don't like this" such that it can be used for ranking/hiding/trust/penalties/slashing/whathaveyou.
There's a whole extra dimension to this for us too: we can use money.
Additionally we have Web of Trust which allows users to tell us whose POV they trust and whose they don't. So a "downvote" from Alice might mean a lot to Bob, but nothing to user Carol.
Lots of options and as I begin to flesh them out, I'm getting pretty excited.
It's really interesting how sometimes people just suddenly just snapp and become full on trolls. Suddenly unhinged provocative.
I have seen this before back in the day in a forum, a user that behaved kinda normal before just broke from one day to another.
I hope there will be psychology scientific research about this, there must be something behind it. Maybe this should be called Joker-moment or something
I think that progressive tax rates are a scam. Its a way to get the poor to pay tax because they think the rich pay more. But the rich get loopholes and deductions that the poor dont and dont know about, so they are accepting the much higher tax rate because they basically dont have to pay it. So this way it keeps everyone happy and the system going.
