This song is awesome. I remember it being released. The whole album was fantastic.
I am not a huge hip hop/rap fan but the rap in this song is incredible. You can just sit and read the lyrics and say “damn”. Most raps you need the beat and the MC for the lyrics to hit hard. Not in this track.
I agree, it was part of the genre that was much more accessible to people who wouldn't normally listen to that style. I wasn't familiar with HipHop/rap outside of Eminem during that time but this song felt really accessible to me.
I have never really listened to anything else by Del the funky homosapien who does the rap on the sang. I have to check his stuff out.
