It is easy to use. You decide for yourself about the privacy/convenience trade-off. For me, I had mostly stopped using Google products before I made the switch. I never used apple. You can use Google products if you want to, and you can "sandbox" those apps into its own user profile. I don't do that. I also don't use social media other than nostr, nor do I use banking apps or fintech apps like venmo. That's my preference. You can use whichever apps you like, but it seems pointless to me to go through the trouble of installing a more secure OS and then surrendering privacy anyway.
