Unfortunately Nintendo's lawyers are very effective. This is one of those situations where I am hoping for the best, but fearing the worst outcome will come.

This lawsuit sucks. I can't believe they're trying to claim copyright on gameplay mechanics. And the claim is so vague / broad. Personally, I really hope Nintendo loses this lawsuit, because it would be a huge hit to gaming creativity and variety if Nintendo wins.

Palworld just released version 0.3.8 of their game. I'm glad to see that, in the face of the lawsuit being brought on my Nintendo, it hasn't deterred them from continuing to improve the game for their active playerbase. I really do hope that Pocketpair can come out fairly unscathed from this. It would suck to see their work undone by Nintendo successfully claiming certain mechanics infringe on their patents.
