It definitely feels like there are more injuries in NFL and NCAAF games than ever before. Feels like every game I watch, there are many injury timeouts, players leaving due to injury, etc. I think a lot of it is driven by poor technique - not tackling properly, etc. Granted, I think it's incredibly difficult to tackle "properly" to minimize injury. Your head is just there, it's hard to keep it out of harm's way.
Also a ton of people getting rolled up on, or having their legs getting stuck on the turf or under people.
I also kinda can't believe the NFL doesn't require all players to wear the protective helmet padding, instead of making it optional as they have.
