This idea had been kind of percolating in the back of my mind for a bit, but on my walk today it crystalized: there ought to be a podcast affiliated with this territory.
GrayRuby, you/we/I should launch something to talk about not just what's happening in sports, but what stackers are talking about wrt sports. I'm not aware of a bitcoiner podcast that touches sports at all.
I'm imagining it would start as a short weekly experiment, covering our game reactions, ~Stacker_Sports contests and posts, bitcoin bets, personal sports stories, and our kids' sports adventures.
This seems like something that could really elevate ~Stacker_Sports and I'm sure we have enough content to keep it going and have it be distinct from other podcasts.
Btw, I'm doing this in public both to bring public pressure on you and to gauge demand.
Yes, Indeed sir.

Can we hire @supercyclone as host. He is a podcast veteran. He did over 400 episodes of his podcast.
In all seriousness. I am open to the idea.
reply
Absolutely! Use as many of your sock-puppet accounts as you want.
reply
That's not nice. Just because I control the lightning wallet that logs into his account doesn't make it a sock puppet account. He is 14. I am not going to give him free reign on SN. He might be traumatized after meeting Darth. Haha.
He makes all his own picks.
reply
Even if you're joking about having him host, maybe he would want to produce it, since he has that experience. Obviously, that's a household decision. I'm just throwing it out there.
reply
I did all the production on his podcast, which was none. Haha
He was 8-10 years old when he had his pod. It was mostly something fun for friends and family. You can even hear my daughter in the background when she was a baby in a couple of the episodes. They were short 1-2 minutes and he just recapped something he learned or a book he was reading or a quote we had come across. The entire idea was to expose him to more complex subjects than a young kid would typically dive into. So we would research it and I would write it up and he would review and read it. It was all recorded on my iphone and uploaded via what is now the spotify for podcasters app but it used to be called something else. The app handled all technical stuff.
reply
I haven't looked into the technical side. Is it as easy as us, plus whoever else, just recording a phone call (presumably over Signal or some such)?
I'd say it should be audio only for the recording, we can add graphics and whatnot if we figure out how to.
reply
Something we would have to research. I have no clue but I am sure things are even easier than a few years ago. @car is the master, maybe he can give us some ideas, tips and tricks.
reply
Good point.
I would lean towards exclusively putting it on Fountain/SN/other bitcoin places, but I think those sorts of business decisions should be left to the business guy and territory owner.
Great idea!
Can I also be the part of the podcast?
reply
You and @Coinsreporter can be the hosts of cricket corner.
reply
Yes yes, he can be a good addon.
reply
Thanks 🙏 Addon? Huhhh!

I'm planning to start a sports video channel on odysee. Would that be better than YouTube?
reply
Why not zapstream. I am sure odysee has a much bigger audience but I don't like to support "crypto" projects that don't use Bitcoin and they aren't interested in Bitcoin only shitcoins.
reply
Seconded. I'd say zap.stream or flare and then also make a SN post with the video.
reply
Great idea! Fountain, Spotify, the world! It could be a marketing bonanza.

Sounds like a good ideas. I think I'll listen to that.
reply
Hahaha it's crazy! From Sn to the world!
