The idea of waking my children up early in the morning one day and sending them off to a school that will purposely miseducate them for 18+ years doesn't sit right with me to be honest.
What are your thoughts?
Look up Montessori schools or private schools that let you audit the curriculum.
No kids yet, but I'm hoping that by the time I have them and they're school-age, truancy won't be a thing.

Not only that, but they are not even allowed to teach anything about money. Invalidating anything they teach you since it has nothing to do with real life.

Homeschooling is one option but it is hard I guess

Why not? I've known lots of home-schooled kids that turned out alright and went on to complete several degrees.
