You went to australia, which part?
They have excellent accents over there lol
A friend and me planned to drive up the east cost from Sydney to Cairns and then through the Outback down to Adelaide over Burketown but we separated in Ayr which messed up that plan.
They have excellent accents over there lol
They do! I got the chance to stay with the Australian family of the guy that towed my car for a few weeks. The power steering hose broke and he couldn't repair it over the Christmas holidays and saw that I was living out of the car so he invited me to stay with him and his family (the other option was to sleep in the car on the junkyard). That was so nice and much appreciated.

No, while searching for the model I read here that a Landcruiser is apparently the "holy grail" of backpacker cars in Australia so I think it was definitely not it but very similar shape.
I also found this story from the same blog and that reminded me how I also almost rolled my car in Australia lol.

Land cruisers are pretty indestructible.
We actually broke our car two times: the first time, we drove into too deep sand without enough clearance so the gearbox died a few days after and had to be renewed for $5k. That was pretty dumb since everyone even warned us to not do that but we really wanted to fuck around and find out, lol.
The second time I was fucking around on a roundabout at night and I must have steered too hard while driving too fast so the power steering hose broke. There was a lot of smoke initially though which made it look pretty bad.
That thing only needed a hose but there was no such hose available anywhere and especially not over Christmas so I had to sell it to the family and return to Germany after it was clear I wouldn't be able to continue the trip anytime soon.
Maybe a rav4, surf, hilux or 4runner?
No, I looked at the pictures, they don't look like the one I had. Maybe it wasn't a Toyota.
