Just got this email from Coinmine
(sad to say I was a customer)
Dear Coinminer,
With great sadness, today we are announcing that Coinmine is shutting down. After 4 years and many miners, we have come to the end of our journey. First and foremost we want to tell you how that will affect your Coinmine.
On Thursday September, 15, 2022, Coinmine services will discontinue. The exact timing will be in conjuction with Ethereum's network upgrade. Your Coinmine will cease mining but the crypto you have accrued so far will be available to you. If you are below the minimum withdrawal threshold, reply to this email and we will help fulfill your request. We will continue to provide withdrawal services for 90 days so you have time to request your withdrawal.
We want to thank you for being a Coinminer and for helping to power the crypto revolution. Crypto is powered by the many to serve the many and you have been a part of this new way of securing information. Your Coinmine hardware belongs to you and you can do whatever you like with it. Some people will choose to open their Coinmine and use the parts to build a new miner. Some people may choose to sell their Coinmine’s parts. Whatever you choose to do, you’ve been a part of keeping crypto alive and we’ve been honored to be a part of that with you.
Thank you again for helping power the crypto revolution with us.
Yours truly, The Coinmine Team
I unplugged mine months ago. Wasn’t worth the sats. I plan to keep it as a bitcoin relic!
That's sad. I remember following Farbood and being impressed by how he appeared to just get shit done.
