Howdy Stackers
Welcome to the sixth edition of SN Morning Bytes — A Daily Newspaper (Kind of 🙏). Here, you'll get links to all of the latest news and updates mostly from the last 24 hours, divided in Sections (much similar to pages on a newspaper).
Let's unfold!

~Bitcoin News of the Day

  • Bhutan, a Himalayan nation with fewer than 1 million people, has accumulated over $780 million in bitcoin, representing nearly a third of its GDP, through mining operations run by state-owned Druk Holdings.

Global Trade & ~Econ

  • Financing sustains and propels global trade. It assures that businesses can operate smoothly across borders by providing essential capital, bridging the gap between production and payment. This role has also become crucial in developed markets, not only the global south. Trade finance fuels economic development and enables local businesses to compete globally.

~Politics_and_Law

#Opinion
  • "On September 17 — 235 years to the day since the Constitution was signed — we celebrate Constitution Day. Or at least some of us will. The precursor to Constitution Day, called, "I am an American Day," used to draw crowds who enthusiastically celebrated with speeches and songs. Nowadays, the holiday largely goes unnoticed. Others use it as an excuse to critique our governing document — the longest-surviving government charter in the world."

~Stacker_Sports News

  • U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles on Monday filed an appeal in the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland to overturn a decision that stripped her of her Olympic bronze medal in the women's floor event at the Paris Games. Chiles was forced to give up the medal when the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) last month ruled in favour of an appeal by Romanian gymnast Ana Maria Barbosu, who was subsequently awarded the bronze.

~Tech & ~Science

  • Advances in plasmonic resonators could lead to computer chips that are up to 1000 times faster, thanks to collaborative efforts between German and Danish universities. These teams have successfully modulated light antennas electrically and integrated quantum mechanics into classical physics models, promising profound technological impacts.

~History with Mystery

    • Ancient Romans reportedly used linen sheath condoms, as well as those made from the intestines or bladder of a sheep or a goat, to prevent the spread of infections like syphilis. Early Chinese civilizations developed condoms made from silk paper and used in conjunction with oil for lubrication, as well as versions made from thin leather.*

~Entertainment World

  • Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has faced a parade of sexual assault lawsuits and a federal human trafficking probe in the last year, has been arrested, the producer’s attorney tells CNN.

An Appeal to Stackers

Currently, this post is under construction (experiment) or under trial until I get a final design or layout and fix some phrases. I intend to give it a finality within 2 or 3 days. For the things that I think are just good enough and can be better are:
  • The Title just feels right (not very attractive)
  • Some headings are attractive and some are just good enough.
  • Need a better intro (may be), a little shorter. What do you say?
Kindly suggest me how can we make it better. Please guide me to improve on title, subtitles, design or anything.
Thanks for reading 🙏
Why not call this The Daily Zap?
Ties into the SN theme and it's quick news items to start your day.
reply
Although I like it, I'm afraid stackers will take it negatively.
reply
Why do you think that?
reply
'Zap' is buzz word now. They (some @and I'm not sure) might think I'm asking for Zaps.
reply
You should do a poll and see what the stackers think.
reply
Maybe not a poll but just ask @Undisciplined and @siggy47 whether they like the name "The Daily Zap".
reply
Ok run to your King and Prince for permission.
I say let the people decide.
reply
Hear that Prince @siggy47? I'm the king now.
Daily Zap is great. So sayeth the king.
If they allow it, then only I'm gonna ask to people. Hehe
Wow!! 22 comments per hour you're doing great!! keep it up👍 I like the thing about Bhutan in the Himalayas, so you could say that despite being in a very remote location! (for network or internet connection) its economy is greatly strengthened by bitcoin and that's wonderful... will they use Bitcoin or Lithing for their day-to-day operations??
reply
Although, Bhutan is very low profile and religiously traditional and mostly inclined to not accepting modern tech for not damaging the 90% green cover on its land, it has got into Bitcoin because of the young king who has, I guess, learnt about Bitcoin by frequently visiting western countries as a normal man. Also, as bhutan is in the Himalyas, it has got cheaper hydro power due to many many small streams. I can only imagine if ever Indian government learn from their neighbour.
reply
It's always a good day to learn something new!! 👍 I hope that this young King continues to support and motivate actions in favor of Bitcoin and the Cryptoeconomy👍
reply
What's cryptoeconomy? 👀
reply
The term Cryptoeconomics was widely used by my mentor, that is, the person who taught my brother and I about Bitcoin... his way of presenting the concept is quite broad... and for that reason I also use it and appreciate it like everything that has to do mostly with digital assets and real value...

The oldest known condom was found in the tomb of the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun. It was made 3,500 years ago and is on display in the Cairo Museum. However, it is not clear whether its function was to prevent pregnancy. There is no evidence that the Egyptians tried to contain births.
reply
Thanks for the info. I don't think Egyptians might have tried to contain birth in those times.
reply
We were taught that European explorers brought syphilis back from the Americas. It was called Montezuma's Revenge. It's interesting that it was seemingly already in Europe during Roman times.
reply
It was transferred to the world by Europeans. In those times Europeans were faster in this regard. Now a days Chinese have outsmarted them.
