Those are monthly active users. We're nowhere near 1000 daily users.
It is surprising and that we're so different from each other really makes me wonder what it is that makes a stacker.
Shocked! Why? Why do you think such low numbers?
reply
You can look at the analytics page and see that it's about 300 daily users, which has been pretty steady for a long time.
Think about how many people you interact with. It's much more small town, than big city.
reply
I've never looked at the analytics. It's understandable. I hardly talk 20 25 Stackers here daily. It's perhaps max 50 Stackers spending more than an hour here.

not even a town, just a bunch of lunatics :)

Good point. A rowdy crowd gathered around the local saloon.

We all want freedom, right?
reply
Mostly, but there are some leftist regime apologists who spend time here. Even so, we're definitely not the only 1000 people who care about freedom.
There are a lot of people who seem like us who aren't here and then some people who seem very different from us who are here. I don't get it.

I have worked really hard to get people I know to check it out and they are very resistant. Much like Bitcoin and nostr. It is difficult to have enough vision to jump into the new thing when it is this early. That is all it is, EARLY. It will take time. When people get fed up enough with their other platforms silencing and controlling what they consume, they will come. I believe it is inevitable.

I agree. It's just fascinating to me that it appeals so strongly to a small number of people who aren't obviously different in any particular way from many more who it doesn't appeal to.
reply
I think we are a subset of a subset and yet quite diverse. Its interesting for sure. That is a big part of the appeal I think. It isn't an echo chamber, but its small. Like a small town that somehow draws people in from all over the world. This is powerful. I look forward to watching us grow up together.
