No. The real chance to fix something is to not trust or believe ANY politician.

(I cant help but think the socialists are quietely leaving via the backdoor, and then leaving conservatives in charge so as to take the fall for the terrible policies that have undermined democracy over the last 20 or so years)

While they might revel in the misery because there will be someone else trying to manage through it, they would much rather be the ones still pulling the strings yet. They would never leave voluntarily.
