I see online that you can change the derivation path of a watch-only wallet (created from public key) in Blue Wallet. Apparently the way to do that is to have the Advanced mode turned on, in the Settings. However, after scouring the Settings, area, I can't find the Advanced mode.
Anyone have a tip? Or should I be using a different app as a watch-only wallet? Electrum doesn't appear to allow this either.

Are you using version 7.0.4, from the android apk (though I think the apk would be the same as the regular android app)?
Mine looks like yours, EXCEPT there's no Advanced Mode between Privacy and Legacy URv1QR
reply
True, I just updated to that version and the function disappeared.

Here's the screenshot for me.
If you look closely, it does look like there's a weird double line between those two items though. Wonder if it's a bug.

Should be the three dots at the top right, Settings -> general -> Advanced Mode

I don't know why I'm not seeing it, but here's what I see under Settings -> General
On Launch Privacy Legacy URv1QR.
I'm using version 7.0.4, android apk.
In any case, my problem was solved with putting the correct type of public key in there (thanks @Radentor). So I didn't need to go into Advanced mode to mess with the derivation path...

I don't quite understand or what you want is to use BlueWallet as a watch-only wallet. I do this to sign transactions with my Sparrow offline and transmit with the BlueWallet.
When I did this the BlueWallet did not have the same deposit address as the Sparrow, at that time I scanned the QR with the XPUB, everything was resolved by scanning ZPUB.
I hope it is useful. I actually did not have to activate the advanced option, which is found in settings/general

Yesterday I used Bluewallet, but after thinking about using an additional wallet, I used ZBD

You could also play around with Guggero toolkit https://guggero.github.io/cryptography-toolkit/ Extracting various derivations of a wallet. Sparrow wallet is much better to play with multiple wallets in the same time.

Awesome, thanks! I thought to switch from xpub to zpub you just changed the first letter, turns out that's not the case...
