well, in my evaluation, 'books' and 'them' are both acting as subjects. It's complicated, though, because 'them' is a pronoun for books; however, it's stealing the shine, rather than serving to tell us more about the subject. So really it's spelling out: some books everybody should have books.

I've been searching for Cormac McCarthy's books. Have you read any from him?

I am not Darth, but I like Cormac McCarthy. A lot. Before he recently died, I would say that he was the best living American author. Blood Meridian is Cormac McCarthy's epic but brutal novel. The best one so far, and it happens to be the first one I read which set me looking for his others I have read: The Road, All the Pretty Horses, No Country for Old Men, & Suttree. Still a few more to go. But I will read them all eventually.

Thanks 🙏 I've listened such high praise about him from one of my mates. He was talking about The Road and said how he was in tears literally while reading the masterpiece. Do you have any links for him like Darth provided?

Nice, i've heard of a couple, but havent read any, I'm getting through A Lodging of Wayfaring Men now, started with the audiobook, just picked up the physical.
