You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me fast, and Your gentleness has made me great.

You have enlarged my steps under me, so that my ankles did not slip.

Psalms 18:35,36

PRAYER OF THE DAY

O God, Creator of all things, source of light and wisdom, we turn to You this new day, acknowledging Your greatness and power. Just as David proclaimed in Psalm 18, we too declare Your greatness and Your ability to sustain us in all circumstances.
Lord, You are our unshakable rock, our sure refuge in times of adversity. As David testified, You train us for battle and give us the strength to overcome the challenges we encounter along the way. We ask that You strengthen us with Your courage and determination to face the obstacles that arise today.
May we follow Your commandments and seek Your will in all our actions. Grant us the wisdom to make wise and just decisions that honor Your name and contribute to the well-being of those around us.
Shower upon us Your grace and mercy, and guide us with Your light in each step we take. May we feel Your constant presence throughout this day, strengthening and inspiring us to live a life that glorifies You.
Just as David recognized that it was You who sustained him and equipped him for battle, we also recognize that it is by Your grace that we find the strength and courage to face our daily challenges. May all that we do today be for Your glory and honor.
In the name of the Love that unites us, the Truth that guides us, and the Peace we seek, we pray.
Amen.
Psalm 18:35,36 speaks of how God gives me strength and ability to fight. He also makes my feet like the feet of a deer and enables me to tread on high places. You have made me victorious over my enemies; you have rescued my life from the violent man. These verses express David’s confidence in God’s ability to equip and protect him during life’s battles. They highlight David’s trust and dependence on God to face difficulties and emerge victorious.
