You arrive in a new city and you go to a small grocery shop to buy some drinks. You have cash, fiat cards and bitcoin with you. What kind of shops you are looking for (in terms of what kind of payment accepted)? a - it doesn't matter for you b - those willing to accept BTC, but not yet c - only those that already accept BTC
What would you do when is about to pay to the cashier that is also the owner of the establishment: a - just pay with visa card, no questions asked b - pay with fiat cash hoping that will be accepted c - (you do not see any sign they accept BTC) you ask nicely if they accept BTC payment.
If they say "no, they do not accept BTC":
  • you just pull out the visa card and pay
  • you insist to help them learn more about BTC
  • just pay in cash and no further talk If they say "yes":
  • you still pay with visa card
  • you pull out your LN wallet and pay

first part: a. I don't really focus on it alot, but if there are places that i know accept bitcoin i will always go there and try them out. But i don't specifically avoid anything else because they dont, and i very often bring it up if there is any opportunity to when i go anywhere.
Second part: c. and then i just use my visa. but i always add a little comment about why btc would be more convenient for me or why they should accept it. Never pushy, just cordial and/or playful. I think being pushy will associate being annoyed with hearing about bitcoin, and I think that works against us. If its just a tool out there that it seems like people are using, then they are more likely to look into it, imo.
