you guys did a LOT to push the state of the art on noncustodial financial services. Thanks for all the hard work! I think I'll be missing itchysats forever.

Sad to see you go, those were sole interesting ideas you floated about.
I hope you decide to open source as much of the self-custodial financial services R&D that you developed in hope that someone will pick up the torch someday.

That's the plan

Iā€™m glad you updated this bot to post xcancel URLs. I considered doing that in its absence @ek

literally took me like 5 minutes to update the bot to only post xcancel.com links now and also reply to comments
it's so hard to just start doing something sometimes

Yeah, I also like how clean it is now. Just a simple link, no more multiple instances.
I also had some code for nostr linnk parsing but that was a mess because there are so many nostr clients and fortunately, it is now built-in using the njump.me embeds so I could focus only on the nitter stuff again.
edit: Oh and thank you :)

Building a company is hard - building a Bitcoin company is even harder - and building self-custodial services is insanely difficult.

If it was "fully self-custodial and in the true spirit of decentralization" it would not matter if one entity is shutting down. Right? Right???

More on that soon šŸ‘€

How long were they around? Feels like they didn't give it much time.
On the other hand as a business decision it is better to cut your losses early.
Maybe it felt too much like "crypto" for most bitcoiners. If they had purely marketed it as a stable coin on bitcoin it might have got more adoption.

What a pity! It was an option to have control over the fluctuation, as is done with Blink. But actually having a self-custody project with that control is very complicated.
