The average life expectancy of humans by sex in developed and some not so developed countries is 70 to 80 years. It was not always like this, but that is another topic. What is interesting is that a man who was not a doctor, although he was well educated, but dedicated 40 years of his life to the care of sheep, declared before 460 BC:
"Our life span is seventy years, or eighty if someone has special strength. But those years are full of difficulties and sorrows; they pass quickly, and we disappear."
Interesting that this man said this when he was still living for more than 100 years.
It is clear that although I would like to die, because no one in their right mind wants to die, and we know that because when someone is sick and understands that their life is in danger, they go to the doctors. I would not like to continue living in a world like the current one, where there is so much suffering, evil, inequality, illness, death, hunger, wars and similar things. But I also know that this is going to change and when it changes I want to be there to enjoy good things always.
It seems that some of us, including myself, find it difficult or have found it difficult to believe that living forever is impossible. But since ancient times the search for living forever has been within the goals of people who have somehow been related to some form of science, including ALCHEMY. And this desire does not arise from nowhere, let us note this statement made by Solomon:
"He has made everything beautiful in its due time. He has even put eternity in their hearts..."
More recently, the discovery of DNA elements called TELOMERES has occurred and they are associated with cellular longevity. You can look for information about this and if you wish we can share it later in this magnificent space.
Well, yes, I would like to live forever, it is possible and it will happen, just not with the current depressing conditions.
Thank you so much for writing in detail. Every word of yours makes complete sense. I'll look for what you suggested and we'll discuss it later.

I see there are studies that link stress to telomere shortening. I think it probably works both ways like a lot of things do.
People who want to live forever should cultivate a stress free existence.
