I took this photos for a client who hired me for a studio-style photoshoot. He told me he was turning a year older and didn't want the typical birthday photos, but something more 'fashion-forward.' So we made his idea a reality in this session.
The concept for the photoshoot was 'fashion,' so we started there, with a photo of him wearing some glasses, a very cool accessory in the fashion world
This kind of back shot is also very classic in fashion to showcase the clothing.
After that, the guy proceeded to put on an extra piece, a nice jacket that complemented his outfit very well.
And for the first photos with the jacket, I guided him with some pretty relaxed poses:
Then the guy put on the jacket, and I took more photos:
I took all the photos with my Canon RP camera using a 24-105mm lens at 5.6/f.
For the lighting, I used a speedlite flash with a 60cm octabox at a 45-degree angle from the model and an LED panel as a secondary light behind the model to separate him from the background.
Obviously, we couldn't miss a seated photo:
After taking all these photos, we were already satisfied with the results we had obtained, so I suggested to the guy that we could take some photos with a super close-up shot because I personally really like this type of photo.
I hope you liked these photos as much as we did!
