pull down to refresh

When was the first time you read, watched or came across anything that pointed to the fact that reality is far more mysterious and complicated than the state programming need us to believe?
In my case it was Erich von Dänikens Chariot of the Gods, a book that my parents got a few years after it was released. I do remember them mentioning it somehow even before I could read, maybe because that was during the years of the last moon landings.
I might have been 14-15 or so when I read it, opening up a huuuuge rabbit hole, inside of a year or so I had read all his books, and bought some of the recent ones that the libraries had not gotten just yet.
Then a few years later while reading anything outside the mental box like Nietzsche I made the mistake of getting back to ancient astronauts, and read a tiny booklet by someone "debunking" it... I need to find out exactly what this was, it ruined years of thinking and research!
Of course it did work as intended, not only because I was young, but also because this debunking BS is presented in a logic way, its just that the facts that they build these psyops on are cherrypicked or even fabricated.
These days its just very nice to see him doing videos on Youtube. He is not perfect in any way, and his theories have been improved upon in so many ways since way back then. But he was the first one to pry this huge rabbit hole open for the world!
Back to the header to finish off: do you have a story about your first rabbit hole? :-)
my first rabbit hole must have been seeing the martial arts tricksters that were performing insane twists and spins, just by trying stuff and finding out what's possible. i then spent A LOT of time trying to land a butterfly twist, falling over and over, for example with the help of this guy jujimufu: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=918ze-gxKJQ 20 years later, i can still do a butterfly twist. to anyone who has never seen it done live, this move looks crazy and incomprehensible. the internet is awesome!

This does look cool. I should try learning it with my son.

Cool, if the army had not wrecked my body during the Cold War (injections) I totally would have been into parkour and things like that, fits my personality well haha

Actually my rough, old style 250 here is so hard to start that I push it in the morning, when it gets going I do fly after it for a brief moment before landing in the saddle ;-)

Couple friends and I were around early teens or so when we first heard of it in the recesses of the internet. English wasn't our first language, so it wasn't that easy to dig up the information (especially the techy and pseudoscientific terms used to embellish the lore). We read chat logs, scoured forums.
Eventually we waited for the first predictions to come to pass... and they didn't. If I recall, it was that the 2000 or 2004 olympics wouldn't happen or something.
Fun Trivia: The character John Titor in the anime Steins;Gate is indeed a reference to this urban legend. I had a double take when I first heard the name in japanese. It is kind of wild, if you think about it, that such a niche internet urban legend from the early 2000s had enough of an effect that some mangaka worked it into an anime a decade later

I had to duckduckgo that one!
Remember seeing stuff like that before, probably the same guy...
Wild stuff haha!

and read a tiny booklet by someone "debunking" it
Wikipedia lists several of such works (supposedly) debunking it.

Thanks! Yeah, there might be a whole operation trying to keep it all under wraps...
That on its own is a majestic, well furnish rabbit hole!

Don't really have time and interest to dive into this rabbit hole, but I wonder if an actual proof beyond the speculative exists that this theory would be true. It's kinda hard to know what happened so long ago. Already for dinosaurs, artist renditions have to do a lot of the work to imagine what a dinosaur might have looked like based on a fossil or skeleton. What kind of evidence does he put forward to be so convinced that aliens gave us those technologies?
Don't want to waste your time. If it's hard to explain in a short SN message, no worries. I'll read up on it if I find the time for it.

Actually I've spent a LOT of hours catching up on it all, from what seems to be well proven now to stuff that is really out there.
I'm in this revolution 24/7, so the plan is to start another project going into all sorts of wild woo, on the fiat platforms, but hopefully dragging people in to pay me in sats ;-)
Gotta get this one going for real first, but certainly doing these two in parallel on a daily basis now!

The first time I stumbled across the concept of star seeds and angel numbers on YouTube. It hit me all at once that my reality wasn't what I thought it was. I had a intense physical sensation and suddenly was seeing patterns all around me. It was some sort of spiritual awakening for me. Before that, I was an atheist, in the box thinker, all logic, deep in the matrix. Since then, I have completely changed my views and it's been quite a ride. Now I have a strong connection to my spiritual side. And it's no coincidence that this was close to the same time I discovered Bitcoin. I had found hope. Great post. Thank you.

Great answer!
Yeah we have those capabilities, and it can be experienced in a useful, healthy way :-)

It was when the first telegram community LNP2P was created in Cuba to buy and sell bitcoin. I knew something about bitcoin; but there I learned about lightning, and it was the previous step to go deeper into the rabbit hole.

Cool, what a clanking, grinding gear shift that might have been! :-)
I'm very interested in keeping track of anyone publishing from Cuba, you guys got quite some stories to tell...

I was always sure that what I saw and experienced was true. It was even so much so that he was determined to continue thinking as others thought. That changed when I learned what the Bible said about truth and how humanity has been deceived about true worship.
I recently learned about Bitcoin. An extraordinary burrow. Bitcoin is more than what you think. When I started learning about Bitcoin I realized that it is not just Bitcoin, so entering that rabbit hole has meant learning how to be a real person and not another slave of this rotten system.

Yep, Bitcoin cuts all the strings, at least it has that capability, then its up to each individual to do the actual work!

Probably my first "Things are not what they seem" moment came when I dreamed I was getting a dog as a younger child of probably around 7 or 8, and the next day I was getting a puppy.
reply
Oh cool, it knew it was coming to you!
Animals are sooo much more capable than most people think, our shelter dog popped up in my mind totally at random for weeks at the start, in the middle of dreams and while half awake.
Clearly he was thinking a lot about us, who he might have felt as his captors at the time, trying to get a footing...

I think it was probably the 9/11 attacks during 2013 which then led to more in depth study and reflection around geo politics, economics and then Bitcoin.
reply
Yeah, was in London on 9/11, flew out on the 14th which was the first day airlines operated, that was tense...
Revisited it later, maybe around 2015, all the suspicions I had back then but had not time to dig into were documented in detail, after ~3 days of videos the world had changed for me, again haha!

I didn't get it
