When I have stale bread, I often use it to make a bread salad.
The base is croutons of stale bread and then there are no limits to your imagination.
In this salad there was also
  • Onions stewed in balsamic vinegar
  • Spring onions (raw)
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Eggplants and sweetcorn (fried, lukewarm)
  • Pine nuts
  • Finely sliced cheese
  • Basil
