  • Being able to retire with dignity.
  • Not putting myself in vulnerable or compromising positions, because I don't have the financial means or savings to make a way for myself.
  • Leaving some bitcoin behind for my nieces and nephews since I don't intend to have any children myself.

Primary motivation for stacking is survival for myself and that of my family, including some extended family members. I look at bitcoin as the modern day biblical Ark. I don't know if it was Greg Foss or Lawrence Leopard who said this, but in one of these bitcoin podcasts, one of them said, "There's no top to bitcoin, because there's no bottom to fiat." So, stack away.
That said, will I treat myself to some luxuries if my stack comfortably affords them to me? Absolutely. ;)
