Hi Stackers!
Life is full of weird and wonderful moments, but every now and then we experience a coincidence so uncanny that we stop and ask ourselves, “Did that really just happen?” Here's a story that still has me scratching my head: I was flying to another city for a work conference and had a long layover at a busy airport. I decided to pass the time by grabbing a coffee at a random café. As I sat down to sip my drink, I noticed a man at the next table who looked strangely familiar. After a moment, I realized — it was my college roommate who I hadn’t seen in over ten years!
But here’s where it gets really weird: as we got to talking, he mentioned that he was on his way to the same conference and had the exact same layover time as me. To make matters worse, we found out that our seats on the next flight were right next to each other. Neither of us had any idea that the other was working in the same field, let alone going to the same conference .It felt like the universe had conspired to bring us back together after all those years.
Has such a coincidence ever happened to you?
I was reading Be Here Now a few days before Christmas in 2019. Right before I went to bed, I had a strong urge to know when Ram Dass died. I went to sleep and woke up still thinking about it. I checked Wikipedia to find that he had died the day before while I was reading his book.

I was in Africa long time ago, where I stayed with a friends family. While he was gone, his brother showed me around. Many years later, I was in a train in my home country (Europe) and sat down next to a guy and said hi. Turns out, it was the brother, visiting his brother in Europe.

A few years ago, while searching for an alternative to the legacy payment systems for crossboarder payments, I came across the term Bitcoin. Studying it, I realized I found something more than just payment system.

There are no coincidences, things happen for a reason, sometimes it's clear and sometimes it's not... there is always a reason.

I haven't ever had something like this happen, but there have been flights I have been on where I haven't seen a former colleague for quite some time. The universe wanted to bring you two together, very cool!

After graduating from university, I went to do my social service in a place far from my usual residence. It is on another island in the archipelago where I live. Being in this stage of my life, I met my current wife. We met through a cousin of hers who lived in the community where I was doing my social service. At that time, my wife lived with her mother 20 km away. She went to visit her cousin and from then on we began to know each other, later we started a relationship and finally we got married.
The interesting thing about this story is that my wife had lost her father in a traffic accident in February 1974, exactly in the same month and the same year that I was born. She has always told me "I lost my father and you were born to take care of me and protect me as he would have done."
This coincidence still amazes me.
reply
Wow, so please take care and protect her.

More than 10 years ago I walking the Saint James Way also known as El Camino de Santiago with a friend and my mom. This Walk is made by hundreds of pilgrims every year.
In one tiny village in Spain we talked to another Pilgrim and he was a doctor working in the same hospital in the States as my friend. They didn't know each other but it was very interesting to see all the coincidence happenings.. It was something like: Where do you live? Ah, me too... What do you do? Ah, me too... Where do you work at? Ah, me too..
By the way, have you done El Camino?
reply
No, never done EI Camino.

It was a fun coincidence. We met working at the same place and became friendly before we started dating and one day she mentioned she was going out of town for her birthday and I said "really, my bday is coming up too" and we discovered it was the same day. She didn't actually believe me at first and thought I was just joking around but I showed her my ID.
We had a lot of stuff in common. She is a good person. We were just together at the wrong stage of our lives and it didn't work out. But we both ended up moving on and meeting other people and having great families so it kind of did work out in the end.

Your memories must have been refreshed today after reading this question?

It's the first interesting coincidence I could think of. What else is interesting is at that time my best friend was dating someone and their birthdays were 1 day apart. Hahaha

Can’t think of any right now but great question. Sent chills down my spine

I was writing a personal philosophy paper for a philosophy class. I was drawing from several different thinkers, one of which was the Dalai Lama, whose book I was reading while writing this paper.
I hadn't finished the book when I submitted the paper, but I was enjoying it, so I kept reading. The first chapter I read after finishing my paper had a passage that was nearly identical to what I had written, like almost verbatim.

You have made me remember that when I emigrated from my country Venezuela to Peru, I left my beautiful girlfriend with honey-colored eyes without knowing if I would see her again. One day while I was working on one of my routes, I saw her sitting in the front seat with the same sparkle in her eyes and she said to me, "Hello, you haven't changed at all."

A month ago, i wanted to go to the river for a swim cause it was very hot . The way was full of branches and high herbs, i was not really conformtable cause i was walking with flip flop. So, I grabbed a stick found on the floor but it was not really pratical (too small and thin). So i ve decided to look for a another one. And a few meters further, my surprise was to find a walking stick in wood hidden left by someone. So i decided to pick it up , went to the river for the swim and put it back when i cam back.
