Just a few months ago I started watching the series "The Sopranos" and I've already finished it. I was literally left with my mouth open when the episode ended. When the screen went black for several seconds I thought it was a mistake or that I had lost my Internet. What do you think about that ending? Tony dies? In a way I liked that the series ended at that point. Anthony Jr. will continue being a spoiled child by his parents. Carmela accepted his marriage facade, although I like that she thought about her future without Tony and began to prepare to be economically independent. Medow, well, he's just Medow. I was impressed by Cristofer's death and the character of the uncle was already beyond repair. If the series continued it was going to be more of the same: Tony being unfaithful, problems with the FBI and traitors, more murders, more fights with Carmela and Anthony Jr. being a nuisance.
Great ending!

Who knows, I think Chase wanted to leave it ambiguous. But it seems to strongly hint that was a hit.
The suspicious guy in the Members Only jacket (my read of that is that he was in "this thing of ours" - a fellow member), and the song "Dont Stop Believing" was a sarcastic nod to both the audience (us) and to Tony that "everything will be alright".

Chase also said that Tony should not have a happy ending

I was looking at reviews and conclusions about the ending... and I think it's fantastic the way they close everything, leaving a dual interpretation and at the same time leaving everyone with suspense and something unfinished, but it's clear that at the end of the episode we see everything from Tony's perspective, so when his daughter enters the restaurant, and we don't see anything because it goes black, that's the sign that Tony is dead.
