A large proportion of Germans are stuck in the fiat trap, hoarding cash in banks. The next round of government debt inflation will teach them sour grapes! The fact that Germans are hoarding cash above all else shows that it's a chimera that the experience of the Weimar hyperinflation 100 years ago has become ingrained in the German soul!

Exactly, inflation was only a mainstream issue when there was this big increase recently, 2% keeps the sheep calm.

I'm in logistics business and in pre pandemic times most of machinery and vehicle parts used to import to India from Germany. After the pandemic, Germany is almost out of the containers recieved at Indian ports!
