I had a stroke of genius this year. The best decision I made was deciding on 10 spelling rules as the springboard for me to come up with the 10 spelling words. With this skeleton in place, it wasn’t difficult for me to come up with 1 spelling word per rule.

To promote the Spelling Bee, I came up with a teacher’s version to aid my colleagues in their writing of year-end remarks.

Since my 7th graders are learning about food, I came up with one food-related poster:

And then, I needed to conduct an exam briefing for 10th graders about to undertake a national exam:

If it seems that I’m having fun, it’s because I am. I gained a renewed sense of appreciation for the marvels of English words.
