The Singapore Repertory Theatre is well-known for staging interesting adaptations of Shakespearean plays. Last year, they put on A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Fort Canning Park. You can tell that it was performed at night, with appreciative theatre enthusiasts having a ball of a time, picnicking with their friends, and laughing at the performers’ hilarious antics. It’s no exaggeration when I say that the “Shakespeare in the Park” is one of my favourite things about living in Singapore.

Yes. It is an experience seeing Shakespeare outdoors. New York City has held the Shakespeare In The Park Festival for 45 years:
