I have always felt that Venezuela has been frozen in time somewhere between the year 2000 and 2010, and one of the ways we can tell is by the types of cars we see on the streets every day.
At least in my city, most of the cars that circulate are not considered "new" as they have been in use for many years. Not only that, it is also very common to find automotive gems all over the city, cars that surely in first world countries would be kept as exhibition relics but here we still use them and that is precisely why I find them so interesting to photograph.
I will start with my favorite of the day, this car although a bit old, looks very nice!!
Does anyone know what model it is
The classic Volkswagen Beetle, among the "old" cars this is the most common to find.
I found this Jeep very beautiful!
This Fiat Uno car brings back many memories of my childhood as this is the type of car my father used to drive
I'm sure this car is quite old!
Public transportation has also been frozen in the 2000s... forget about air conditioning!
Although we can find many old car gems on a daily basis, the truth is that not all of them are "old" as such, there are many cars that I consider "new" but really when we investigate them they are from the year 2015-2018 approximately so they are not so new either... These photos of the city can give you a little more context of everyday life.
