@siggy47 reminded me that we have a territory for ~Dogs_And_Cats as well. Being a dog lover myself, I took it as my duty to give you all a woofy reminder about the Dog Day being celebrated on August 26.

In case you don't know why we celebrate this day, here are a few facts and details:

Thanks to Colleen Paige, a pet and family lifestyle expert and animal advocate who started this day back in 2004. It was the day when his family adopted their first dog 'Sheltie' from an adoption center.

We celebrate this day to honour our poochs – no matter shapes, sizes, age and breeds. We remember that every dog around the world deserves a better life: a life of joy, love, protection, care and respect.

We also celebrate this day to remind the world about the big number of dogs remaining stranded in pet shelters, forever waiting someone to adopt them. The biggest aim of the day is to encourage the adoption of cute four paws, the best friends of humans. If you don't have one to cuddle, go get one!

So, I urge you all to spend a little extra time with dogs acknowledging how wonderful and valuable they are and give them something positive back as they deserve. And don't forget to enjoy this day to witness all their cute quirks and funny personalities more than ever!

I had no idea. We must celebrate. I know you guys breed puppies. What do you do with all of them? Do you find them homes? Do you have many dogs living with you?

We get them all homes after verifying on 3 levels. I personally don't have many dogs, but our small fenced colony with 26 houses has 1 dog each. So you can say we have many. Because, we have every facility for dogs inside the fences, it's not very difficult to have many. Our houses are also not way too small. Everyone's house is at least 5000 square feet. We have a small park, so many open areas, wider and greener streets. In my house, I have a Female GSD. However, out of 26 dogs only 3 are females, so our males jump out of fences so often.
