hahhaah! I was expecting this reply, let me tell you I agree with you as well but newcomers not always have ideas so clear. Obviously, I would first try to explain what is money and what Bitcoin means for the society... then, I will explain my opinion about shitcoins :-)

Seems that you also do not have that idea... just by how you ask questions about "crypto" and not bitcoin.
First you need to educate yourself and only when you became a real toxic bitcoin maximalist is time to teach others.

Sorry, but I put "crypto" on purpose. We are also not going to deny that it is obvious that many people enter BITCOIN and begin to understand its importance after having known the sins of shitcoining don't you think so?

Read Whitepaper of each Crypto, one is interested in. Understand the philosophy for each - why it was created, what it plans to solve , et all.
More importantly, focus mostly n Bitcoin, understand that.
Once you understand bitcoin and its existence, you may not need to know anything else :)
