The current situation in my country is one of the most critical. The government has finished laying the foundations to become a total dictatorship, taking control of the powers, based on censorship and repression in every sense.

Correct

I'm so sorry. It does look like that's where this is going.

Personally, I feel hopeful and at the same time scared. I am honestly considering pressuring my mother and sisters to emigrate if this is not resolved in the medium term.

What's the most likely path to Maduro being removed at this point?
I know he's being widely condemned internationally, but that doesn't help directly. If anything, that just leads to a US led regime change war. I certainly wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I wonder if the army is dissatisfied enough to turn its back on him.. Ceausescu 1989 style
reply
I sure hope so. What worries me is that the longer this drags on, the less likely that might be to happen.
reply
This has been delayed too long because the Armed Forces, police and National Guard are with the dictatorship. The only soldier who dared to turn his back and try to do something was killed in a horrible way.

So I assume Maduro makes sure the soldiers eat well

The highest ranks of course have the best benefits and the low ranks I think do not go hungry.
It's all very strange to me. How do I know what can happen with a dictatorship? We've all hoped for the best for 25 years and sometimes it seems like an endless nightmare. I don't think they'll get out peacefully. I wouldn't like an intervention, but if it turns out to be the only way out, then I have no choice but to accept it.
reply
Yes, since 1999. The foundations of the dictatorship were laid 20 years ago, that is not recent.
