Hi everyone,
I'm not a big reader. I rely on quotes from books and movies. I also feel that it's better to read or listen to a few quotes in the morning to boost your day. I don't stick to single source. Rather I select randomly and listen patiently to some of the finest quotes everyday at least for 15 minutes.
Today, I read some quotes from here. https://www.bookbub.com/blog/famous-book-quotes
  1. “There is some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for.” — J.R.R. Tolkien, The Two Towers
  1. “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
So, I would like to know what are some of your favourite quote that you always look at to motivate and boost yourself. Also, tell me which one you can never forget? The quote that's just stick to your mind like forever.
"I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse."
The Godfather (1972)

That's my second favorite Godfather quote.

The Godfather is so damn full of such quotes, it should have won an Oscar or noble for best quotes if ever provided. Great movie!
But, it's a tragedy that Paccino has boycotted the Academy Awards.
Brando, who did not attend the Golden Globes ceremony two months earlier,[230][233] boycotted the Academy Awards ceremony and declined the Oscar,[36] becoming the second actor to decline a Best Actor award after George C. Scott in 1971.[234][235] Brando sent American Indian Rights activist Sacheen Littlefeather in his place, to announce at the awards podium Brando's reasons for declining the award, which were based on his objection to the depiction of American Indians by Hollywood and television.[234][235][236] Pacino also boycotted the ceremony;[36] he was insulted at being nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, when he had more screen time than his co-star and Best Actor-winner Brando, and thus should have received the nomination for Best Actor.

“With great power comes great responsibility.” — Uncle Ben

Fact Check:

Voltaire, the French author first coined the phrase “with great power comes great responsibility” only to have it (the phrase) memorialized and thrust into American folklore through Uncle Ben's cautionary warning to a young Peter Parker, a/k/a Spider-Man.

“You can’t handle the truth” from A Few Good Men was pretty memorable.

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” ― Frank Herbert, Dune
I love this book.

"A lot o' people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch o' unconnected incidents 'n things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice o' coincidence that lays on top o' everything. Give you an example; show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconsciousness." - Miller / Repo Man (1984)

Too many to name but saw this classic last week and this line really stuck out,

"Oh man, Friday, I really wanted an egg salad sandwich and I was just obsessing about it and I was like, 'Man, I'm gonna make one of those.' So Saturday, I went out and got, like, a dozen eggs and then I boiled them all and I just, I spent, I dunno, probably three hours, like three and a half hours making, you know, the mayonnaise, and the onions and paprika and, you know, the necessary accoutrement. And then, by the time I was done, I didn't really feel like like eating it."- Steve Carell

Do not go gentle into that good night by Dylan Thomas
I think about this poem almost every week since I first read it. The first line is the most haunting. Do not seek an easy life, do not go without a fight, you must struggle.
The third line is poweful too:
Rage, rage against the dying of the light
But the first one is the one that speaks the most to me

"One of the saddest lessons of history is this: if we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It's simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we've been taken."
I need to re-read the Demon-haunted world.

Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."

A lot of my faves have already been listed, but two more:
"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." - from The Dark Knight
"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum." -- from They Live (and usually gets misquoted with folks swapping "chew bubblegum" and "kick ass")

A movie that I will never be able to forget is The Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the ring. I love that movie from the music, plot, adventure, characters, etc. It is something I will remember and revisit throughout my life.
As for books - The 48 Laws of Power sticks with me to this day. I have watched the principles play out in my life before my eyes, and I love the historical backdrops that are provided with each of the principles.
