Houston does seem like a logical spot for expansion or relocation considering the size of the market, the imbedded rivalry with Dallas, an existing arena and an experienced ownership group. A lot of the non traditional hockey markets are doing well right now. Dallas draws a big fanbase. Both Florida teams draw well. Vegas is doing well. I definitely could see them going to Houston at some point.

In 2000 I think it was Houston made it to the final 2 for the expansion team that became the Columbus Blue Jackets... At the time Gary Bettman talked about how Houston wasn't a good market and all this tbh piss poor excuses. When it came to Arizona relocating you gotta love this.... Tilman Fertitta wasn't allowed to bid because they want Houston to be an expansion city.... but they are not actively pursuing expansion at this time... like what???

Yeah, they want those expansion dollars. Too bad but I am sure it will happen eventually. Houston is too big a market to not have a team.

exactly... at the end of the day money talks and if they don't expand the next team to fall into some sort of disarray will end up in Houston
