It opens their eyes to the fragility of the fiat system, the misery that will come its downfall and how being prepared for it might change your life dramatically. Then you buy them The Bitcoin Standard, and they realize how the dystopia of The Mandibles need not to be, and how they can use Bitcoin to both protect themselves from the chaos as well as to generally make the world a better place for all.

More generally, I advise not to discuss Bitcoin, but rather to rant on the issues of the traditional financial system. You don't appreciate antidotes if you don't think you are poisoned.
