A handful of plebs have asked me how to send and receive zaps in a non-kyc way. After testing for a bit, it seems like https://wallet.cashu.me is a viable option.
To receive zaps, go to the wallet settings and enable Lightning address. This’ll essentially give you a unique npub.cash address.
To send zaps, you would need to use a client that supports NWC (e.g. Nostrudel and Nostur). Simply enable NWC in your wallet settings, copy the secret string, and paste into your client.
It generates a new npub. Is it possible to input your own nostr address?
Although not recommended, there’s an option to input your own nsec.

Thak you for this! Is there a way to make the receiving npub.cash address easier to read/custom?
Or that's what I should paste in my NOSTR profile?
You can claim a username here but it costs 5k sats.
Not sure how you can use that custom address in cashu.me though
Yeah, the username you claim essentially points to the same long address that you already have associated with your npub.
For example, @ek’s address is npub16x07c4qz05yhqe2gy2q2u9ax359d2lc0tsh6wn3y70dmk8nv2j2s96s89d@npub.cash
If he logs in with an extension and purchases ek@npub.cash, he can now use that address instead of the long one.
Going back to cashu.me: if you use your nsec, your corresponding long address will be shown in the Lightning address section. Any sats you receive to either that address or the short one will now appear in your wallet.
Very interesting! I wonder if this would work with the eNuts app as well
Just downloaded it to check, doesn’t seem to support either at the moment.
Wow! That was super quick. You beat me to it . lol. Thanks
You’re welcome! ⚡️
This is crazy automatic system
