Man I am loving these posts. What an ordeal. God bless your mom. Obviously you have gone through a lot but as a parent, I just can't imagine the stress this put on your mom (and dad too but mom was there all the time). Give your mom a hug for me next time you see her and tell her it's from a fellow parent all the way in Canada.

So I haven't included this but my poor mom actually has a double whammy.
Chiari is linked to an X chromosomal mutation so since I am a boy my mom passed it down to me. If I had avoided the whiplash in the car wreck I likely would have been able to continue to live my life fine and we never would have known. Same with EDS and POTS those are chromosome mutations.... My dad though has EDS as well even if he wont admit it so they both helped me with that one!
I will be sure to give her that hug next time I am home and out of DC aka hell
